Please, Community, join me in thanking the Wall Street Journal here with a Thank You message in your comment under this Topic "Wall Street Journal, Works Hard for Us In This Community and Should have a THANK YOU From All Of Us" for all they do in this community Online.
There are rules and regulation. There are policies and procedures. There are many new things popping up here and there everyday, though not everything is great. But many new things are wonderful ideas and concepts, such as Social Media, such as Community - like this one here - for the folks online to connect together.
I've been an online contributor in many communities since way back in the old days where we used to jump online via the Executive BBS, late '80s or early '90s. I remember seeing Amazon putting their books online on the BBS for sale: buy one at this price, buy two and get this discount, buy three and get more discounts! It was small potatoes, and yet, look at them now. Amazon is doing great!! I love it! I remember people were talking about the idea for the first time; someone can sell books without stocking or packing or shipping. They worked out deals with publishers to drop-ship directly to consumers. Great idea and awesome concept. Look at them now.
Today, many people are trying to tap into the growth of the Internet and are trying many new ideas. Of course, many of the new ideas don't work. Perhaps, some of those new ideas might work only if they hang in there and hang around a little longer. Many of them were told, "Too early for this concept" and many of those businesses have folded. Look at Nikola Tesla (1856-1943). Look at what he created back then and now we begin to appreciate him. So, many sites, including news media sites, have created Community areas on their sites, like this one here, for people to connect and chat and get to know each other more, from near and from afar.
My experience has taught me that many of those news media sites gave up and stopped providing community. But, Wall Street Journal and several other major news media sites have kept it up!! Kudos to WSJ!
Please let WSJ know how much you appreciate them, like I do! Thank you, Wall Street Journal for caring and understanding and having patience with folks like us, especially the new folks learning their ways online here in this WSJ community. Thank you for putting back my group here. We appreciate you very much.
Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! I will put this article on my site and invite my friends to come and read this Appreciation Article that I have for the Wall Street Journal.
Cheers,
